This is how my husband and I ring in the new year, with a new gut healthy guilt free treat. What makes this brownie guilt free? The ingredients and the serving size. This recipe only makes 2 brownies. You can eat half and save the other have for another day or share it with a friend. Brownies always taste better when shared, in my humble opinion (much less guilt). Don’t you agree?
All the ingredients in this recipe are gut-healthy, brain power promoting, high in fiber, loaded with “good for you” fats and packs a powerful protein punch:
Barukas Nuts – 25% fewer calories then any other nut, 6 grams of protein and has 3x more antioxidants than any other popular nuts.
Blanched Almonds & Almond Milk – known to recduce your hunger pangs and promotes weight-loss.
Stevia – an herbal sweetener, helps control blood sugar (great news for diabetics), promotes weight loss, and reduces cholesterol levels.
Avocado Oil – high in oleic acid (heart healthy fat and leutin (an antioxidant that improves eye health), helps your body absorb and keep the nutrients you eat.
Egg – a proven muscle builder and helps the body recover from injury. It contains vitamins and minerals that boost your nervous system.
Vanilla – is a proven anti-inflammatory
Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – high in magnesium, promotes healthy digestion and can reduce the risk and symptoms of Irritable Bowl Syndrome and digestive problems
