hi, I'm Michele

My journey into Boundless Fitness began more than 30 years ago, sparked by a single PE class in college. At the time, I was on the pre-med track, but the moment I stepped into that classroom, I knew—this was what I was meant to do. That realization set me on a lifelong path of learning, teaching, and sharing my passion for movement and wellness.

Over the years, my curiosity has led me to explore fitness in so many unique settings—high-end retreats, cruise ships, military ships and installations, then eventually, my very own brick-and-mortar studio in North Park. Along the way, I’ve earned certifications in Pilates, yoga, prenatal/postpartum fitness, personal training, aqua therapy, and massage, continuously deepening my understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, and myofascial fitness. I believe that movement is medicine, and I’m dedicated to helping others discover the power of strength, healing, and joyful movement.

My expertise lies in strength training for women over 35, prenatal/postpartum fitness, pain relief, and stress relief. I specialize in making fitness feel approachable, fun, and empowering—creating an environment where every woman feels supported, seen, and capable.

What I love most about Boundless is the incredible community. My students lift each other up, welcome everyone who walks through the door, and bring their unique energy and spirit into every class. They are kind, inspiring, and truly the heart of this space.

Official Bio

Michele Schlanbusch is the passionate founder and driving force behind Boundless, a
welcoming and empowering fitness space for women in North Park, CA. With a deep belief that
strength, confidence, and community rise together, she created this women’s health hub to be
more than a place to work out — it’s a sanctuary where every woman can feel seen, supported,
and encouraged on her fitness journey.

With more than 30 years in movement and women’s wellness, Michele brings a rare blend of
strength training, bodywork, and mindful movement. Her journey began in fitness and personal
training, evolved through kettlebell sport, and expanded into massage therapy, pilates, yoga,
visceral manipulation, aqua therapy, Thai massage, and birth support as a doula. Her approach honors the
whole woman — strength, mobility, recovery, and life transitions. She specializes in supporting
the women’s body through key stages of life. She designs programs that feel approachable, fun,
and empowering — no matter where a member starts.

Her philosophy is simple: health fitness should enhance life, not overwhelm it. She believes
every woman deserves a space where she can build strength, cultivate confidence, and connect
with others in a supportive community. When she’s not coaching or building community at the
her studio, Michele enjoys cooking and baking, being outdoors enjoying nature and the culture
and art of her Haitian heritage.

In all her endeavors she always has an eye toward uplifting local women and wellness partners
by helping you build strength through every stage and phase of life.
