Through pregnancy & Beyond

Thriving While Pregnant

This mom-centered Free/No Cost prenatal Pilates program offers a multi-faceted, culturally sensitive, community based approach to wellness, that honors, nurtures and supports mom and baby through all stages of pregnancy and beyond.

The program consists of:

  • weekly prenatal Pilates classes
  • doctor’s office “buddy system” program
  • community socials
  • postpartum Pilates classes and support

Prenatal Pilates Classes – Every mom, enrolled in the program, can attend 2 weekly prenatal Pilates classes. These 50 minute classes are offered on Sunday evenings at 5:00pm and Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm. The classes are fun, lively and focused on building core strength from the second trimester to labor.

The Buddy System – To ensure that pregnant women have access to resources that align with their cultural beliefs, values and preferences. Furthermore, pregnant women can attend doctor’s visit with a buddy so they never have to go alone.

Community Socials – (the most important element)  Embracing community through our monthly prenatal/postpartum social meet-ups. It’s a safe space where women can talk, decompress, find encouragement and build their confidence for all the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead.

The “4th Trimester” – Postpartum Pilates classes and continued support up to 12 months post pregnancy.

When I first started coming to Boundless I was intimidated because I hadn’t worked out in years. Now it’s been almost two years and I can honestly say that every class I take is the highlight of my week.
