Watsu is “water shiatsu” massage. It is a weightless, theraputic bodywork that is performed in chest-deep, warm water. This gentle paced, deeply calming practice is a moving meditation.
Your therapist continuously floats, supports and guides you through a flow of shiatsu acupressure and passive stretches that induce deep relaxation, restores movement to stiff or frozen joints and accelerates healing, post injury.
As you gently glide through the water in a seamless dance of bending, stretching and twists with traction. We work together in-sync with the goal of pain relief.
A 60 or 90 minute session consists of diaphramatic breath coordination, gentle rocking, dynamic stretching, acupressure point release with moments of stillness. I customize each session to address your pain relief needs.
